| David Cook Fans Unite Against Cancer Wristbands! |
[04. 24. 08 . 5 : 29 pm] |
Some of us over at the David Cook Fan Community Message Boards have come up with the idea to offer rubber wristbands (like the "livestrong" and "one" wristbands) that say "David Cook Fans Unite Against Cancer" so that DC fans can show their support for David & also raise money to donate to a Cancer-related Charity or Foundation.
There are polls set up over at the message board to vote for the color of the wristband & also the charity to be donated to so that is YOUR say where your donation will go! (Black is currently the color winning and the American Cancer Society is the leading charity by far!) The voting ends this evening so go sign up & vote!
I have set up the online payment account for people to pre-order their wristband if they want to go ahead and get their name on the list & their money in.
As soon as we have 100 ordered & pre-paid for, we will be purchasing the wristbands from the company and should have them in soon! The first 100 ordered will be the first ones shipped. Ensure you get yours the quickest, and order now! :)
Here is what you must do to preorder your wristband:
1. Click the following link: paypal order form
2. Choose the quantity of wristbands you would like to order. Each price includes shipping your wristband to you. If you choose more than 1, please make sure to click the "update quantity" button! (*If you would like to order more than 3 at once, please read below for details.)
3. Login to your paypal account or choose to pay with your credit, debit or bank account on the left hand side of the page.
4. Make sure to enter your correct MAILING address so your wristband will get to you.
5. In the "Order Instructions" box, please provide me the following information so I have it handy with your order: Full name, email address, shipping address, how many wristbands you are ordering. (Some people are not able to use/find the Order Instructions box. That is fine, just make sure your shipping address is correct!)
If you have any more questions, let me know! XthemusiclivesX on AIM or DanielleHeffron@gmail.com
NOTE:
* If you are not in the U.S. and would like to order a wristband, arrangements can be made but it will be a little more for shipping. Please email me with your shipping address so I can calculate the costs - DanielleHeffron@gmail.com
* If you'd like to order more than 3 at once, or another somewhat large quantity, please email me, as special pricing discounts can be made - DanielleHeffron@gmail.com
* If you'd like to pay with a money order or check (it is possible but will take a lot longer to get your wristband to you), please email me - DanielleHeffron@gmail.com

| I can't believe it's April! |

A little update from me...
Concert Update:
I have VIP to Panic At The Disco, Phantom Planet & Motion City Soundtrack tomorrow. I am somewhat nervous considering I have liked PATD for so long and never met any of them yet. And not to mention, my hugehuge crush on RyanRoss. :X Will I even be able to talk? I will probably stutter. Hahaha. But hey! I will get to cross out yet ANOTHER name under my "Who I'd Like To Meet" section on myspace! I will more than likely be posting about this show.
Alicia and I are going to Dallas with some friends to see John effing Mayer on August 1st. We have totally kick-ass tickets in the 2nd row of the very front, very center section. I am beyond excited. Eeeeee!!!
Warped Tour is playing Dallas on my birthday (July 3) this year. I am excited as shit to say the least.... So many of my favorite bands are playing! All at one show. On my birthday. We must make a roadtrip/celebration out of this!
These are the bands I am REALLYREALLYREALLY excited to see on Warped Tour: The Academy Is, Angels & Airwaves, Cobra Starship, Forever the Sickest Kids, Gym Class Heroes, Paramore, Relient K, Story of the Year. And possibly As I Lay Dying, From First To Last, Say Anything & The Secret Handshake if I get more familar with their stuff. (And LUDO & All American Rejects if I end up going to the one in Sacramento when I am visiting my dad! I don't understand why those bands aren't playing the midwest dates when they are both from here?!)
Life Update:
Mo and I have been living together about a year & a half now. We are doing well. We talk about marraige and our future on almost an every day basis now. I can definitely see myself with him and MAYBE someday having kids with him. Hahaha. Though right now.. It's safe to say.. I don't want any! We have 2 dogs, 1 foster dog (anyone want a puppy?), 3 cats and a bird. We're too broke & busy for kids! :P
I am working a day job at an office near my house. Monday through Friday. 8 to 5. Office work. I get to be online. It's not so bad. And I am so close that I always go home and eat and visit my dogs on my hour lunch. It's nice.
Ummm... friends... Let's see... I pretty much get along with anyone & everyone now-a-days. It seems that as you get older, drama & bitchyness & everything around it just seems so pointless. So most people I once had beef with, it is put behind us now. But if I don't talk to you, like ever, there is probably a reason for it: I weeded out the unnecessary drama & people in my life! (unless you're one of my old buddies, like Courtney or anyone equally as close... yet so distant - thats just different life paths and I still love you dearly!)
Mary and I have become REALLY close since December. I don't want her to move back to Colorado! But we're going on one, maybe 2, cruises in the next 9 months... So that is exciting!
Speaking of cruises... I am going on the ROCK BOAT 2009! :) 5 days in the Caribbean. Dozens of awesome bands (including Hanson, Better Than Ezra, Sister Hazel, Stephen Kellog & The Sixers, Michael Tolcher, Green River Ordinance and more!) Mary, Sam, Raquel, Steph and I booked a really nice cabin with a private balcony overlooking the ocean! Eeeeee. January can't come fast enough.
Okay, I think I am done. For anyone who actually does read all of this... I love you & I miss you! Call me or text me sometime. 918.706.0984

| WENTZ for OBAMA in 2008! |
[01. 15. 08 . 9 : 36 pm] |
Pete posted a blog lastnight about his open support for Obama's campaign & also posted an invitation to his Obama fundraiser on Jan 22nd in Chicago. <3 love him.

Pete's Obama Fundraiser Invitation
"so some people have been wondering why i have stepped out to support a candidate now... for the most part i am a pretty liberal but apolitical person. i feel that our government is stunted due to its reliance on a two-party system. it allows all of the candidates in both parties to become close to mirror images of each other knowing that we are forced to vote for the lesser of two evils. the two party system primarily exists due to our republic using a "winner take all" electoral system rather than a parliamentary one that many european countries use. essentially we don't directly vote for our candidates because our founding fathers didn't completely trust the electorate. an electoral college actually votes and elects the president. this would be fine for the most part (as the electors generally vote as their state has chosen) but if say obama gets 52 percent of the vote in california and guilliani gets 40 and an independent gets 8- obama still gets all of the electoral college votes in our winner take all system. this doesn't allow much wiggle room for third parties on a national level at least. what i and many others would suggest is rather than doing away with the electoral college system as a whole, we do something called "allocating the electoral college". this would mean that the percentage of votes you receive in each state would also be reflected in the amount of electoral votes you receive. if this system had been in place gore would have beaten bush. however, to in order to change the electoral college we would need a constitutional mandate and amendment- smaller states would never allow this. because many candidates would skip visiting smaller states as they have far more electoral college votes to receive in larger ones... until this happens i realize that i want to engage the system as it exists. i thought that the lesser of two evils didn't mean much until bush arrived in office. now i know better. i believe that obama is a mix of the most electable and exciting of all the candidates. for the first time in years when i was watching the new hampshire primary i was excited. i am not forcing my beliefs down anyone's throat. check out his positions, come by the fundraiser- get involved. id be happy to debate anyone and hear your opinion as well.
